Every Mighty Turf Certified Installer follows the same five-step spec. This is what separates a job that looks great for ten years from one that fails in two.

Site Assessment

On-site measurement, grade check, drainage review, and material spec'd to your yard.

Demo & Base

Excavate 3-4 inches, lay weed barrier, build compacted base with Class II or decomposed granite.

Turf Install

Roll out with grain direction matched, precision-cut to edges, invisible seaming with adhesive and tape.

Anchor & Infill

Perimeter nailed at 4-inch spacing. Silica sand or antimicrobial infill brushed in to spec.

Final QA

Full site cleanup, seam inspection, infill distribution check, walk-through with customer.

Mighty Turf is a wholesale manufacturer. Installation is handled by our Certified Installer network. In Southern California, Monarch Landscape Design is our flagship certified installer covering IE, High Desert, LA, Orange County, and San Diego. Outside SoCal, our contractor locator connects you with a vetted installer near you.

How much does artificial turf installation cost?

Professional installation of artificial turf typically runs $8 to $15 per square foot installed in Southern California. Variables include site prep (flat yard vs. slope), base work depth, infill type, and yard access (do we have to wheelbarrow through a side gate?). Mighty Turf Certified Installers provide itemized quotes free of charge.

Can I install Mighty Turf myself?

Yes. Experienced DIY homeowners and handy contractors install Mighty Turf successfully. The product warranty is preserved as long as installation follows our published spec. A typical 500 to 1,500 square foot residential install takes a certified crew 1 to 3 days from demolition to final infill. Commercial installs, sports fields, and anything with heavy subgrade work or complex edge detail runs longer. Your installer will give you an exact timeline after the site assessment.

Does DIY installation void the Mighty Turf warranty?

No. The Mighty Turf product warranty covers manufacturing defects regardless of who installs the turf. However, workmanship issues — seam failures, infill settling, drainage problems — are not covered under the product warranty. Certified Installers carry their own workmanship warranty on top of the product warranty, which is why most homeowners choose professional install for peace of mind.
